Pleated blinds
Design features
Pleated blinds are a compact, technological, at the same time simple window decoration system. Plisse obscures, hides from sunlight and residents opposite the standing houses. A true alternative to horizontal, Roman and roller blinds. Versatility of use is the main advantage among other types of blinds.
Pleated curtains are mounted on rectangular, trapezoidal and curved arched windows. Suitable for inaccessible roof windows and glazings of conservatories. They are used in any style of architecture. The design of pleated blinds consists of fabric that is fixed between two profiles with tension cords. When moving, the fabric is folded into horizontal creases laid in the manufacture of the material. This process resembles playing a musical instrument – an accordion. Actually the word “pleated” – means the addition of something in folds.
The light that passes through the folds acquires a warm, soft shade. Thanks to the compact design, pleated blinds take up less space compared to other types of sun protection. When assembled, the “pack” merges with the frame and is not noticeable. Pleated blinds are suitable for mounting on the door of a balcony or loggia, as minimize opening angle.
